The PTA requires funding to support all that we do. Our primary sources of funding come from the yearly auction, membership and donations. Additional funding comes from dine-out nights with local restaurants, Box tops, employee matching and Amazon Smile.
We have chosen these fundraising options in lieu of student generated fundraising (ie. cookie sales, etc.) so that the burden of fundraising does not fall on students or families.
Your support helps make all of this possible! The East Ridge PTA funds over $30,000 worth of school programs each year. Using these funds we create a wide array of education and enrichment programs for the school. We also fund staff grants and provide supplemental funds to teachers and specialists for classroom, library, PE, music, and playground materials.
Our 2018 auction Fund-a-Need paid for the purchase of new playground equipment and play structures for the school.
Our 2022 auction Fund-a-Need funded the purchase of 10 outdoor picnic tables to be used at school.
The PTA has funded a school grant to bring in the non-profit Playworks to teach lessons for students and staff in the fall. They work to promote play, engagement and a positive playground experience for schools.
We funded a staff grant to paint a beautiful, bright and fun mural in the gym for all students to enjoy.
We funded the purchase of stencils for repainting the blacktop with fun games and decorations.
We funded the purchase of a reading support program to be used at school.
We helped purchase sensory kits to help meet the needs of all students. They are used in every classroom.
We purchased a ukelele storage cart to help organize and protect the ukuleles used in the Music room.
